New season of American Crime Story finally gets a premiere date

After American Crime Story: Versace replaced American Crime Story: Katrina on FX’s schedule of chapters in our history to revisit/dramatize, it seemed like Ryan Murphy and co. were eager to delve into the tale of slain designer Gianni Versace. But perhaps because of the retooling on the original concept for season two of ACS, the Versace entry still lingered in production.

Now, though, we have not only a premiere date for American Crime Story season two, but FX has also shared two teasers to go along with the extended title. So book your Mystic tan appointment now, because American Crime Story: The Assassination Of Gianni Versace is coming January 17, 2018 to FX.

The first teaser has a little John Woo dove action in it, as the silence is broken by a series of gunshots. The second shows Penelope Cruz as Donatella Versace, genuflecting before the house of fashion she and her brother Gianni (Edgar Ramirez) built. Ricky Martin and Darren Criss are also set to co-star in The Assassination Of Gianni Versace.
