Norm Macdonald has his own Netflix talk show now

Comedian Norm Macdonald has been in the online talk show game for a few years now, applying his idiosyncratic delight at making minefields out of normal human conversations for three seasons on Jash’s Norm Macdonald Live!. The show currently airs on Amazon Video, and used to pop up on YouTube shortly after, before the episodes all disappeared a few weeks ago. Now, Macdonald has announced the likely reason for that change: He’s taking his act to Netflix, tweeting out today that he’ll host a 10-episode series for the streaming network, aptly titled Norm Macdonald Has A Show.

In execution, Has A Show sounds a whole lot like Live!; like the earlier series, it’ll feature one guest per hour-long episode, bouncing ideas and jokes off Macdonald and sidekick Adam Eget. Macdonald—who released a stand-up special with Netflix last year—will executive produce and co-run the series, alongside his longtime (like, SNL-era longtime) friend and collaborator, Lori Jo Hoekstra. Macdonald’s other friend, David Letterman, who appeared on the third season of Live!, is also involved in the series; he’s apparently being credited as the show’s “location scout.”
