OkCupid introduces feature to weed out matches that don't support Planned Parenthood

Let’s be frank for a moment, shall we: All those guys you hear about filling up women’s dating-app inboxes with offers to come over right that second and rock their world aren’t ready to be fathers. And if and when online dating blossoms into a long-term relationship, being in agreement on if you want children, and when, is important. Leaving all the planning in “Planned Parenthood” up to the woman in a heterosexual relationship is bullshit, especially when it comes at an steep out-of-pocket cost. To this end, OkCupid is introducing a new badge reading, “#IStandWithPP,” which, according to a company press release, “will be prominently displayed on the profile of every OkCupid member who has publicly responded ‘no’ to the question, ‘Should the government defund Planned Parenthood?’.” So answer those questionnaires, OkCupid users; at the very least, it’ll help you avoid a very tense discussion at a sushi bar.
