One Day At A Time makes a quick trip to the past to reveal season 2 premiere date

Netflix’s One Day At A Time reboot proved that Norman Lear’s issues-oriented sitcoms could stay true to their roots without looking silly among all the prestige-dramas and slick single-camera series of today. The artful dramedy, from Gloria Calderon Kellett and Mike Royce, surprised audiences with its mix of timeliness and family-based humor. In the first teaser for season two, the show plays up its predecessor’s ’70s aesthetic, down to the Dorothy Hamill haircuts and polyester threads.
