Pamela Adlon fires manager she used to share with Louis CK
Shortly after the article on the accusations of sexual harassment against Louis CK came out, the comedian’s longtime manager Dave Becky dropped him as a client, later releasing a questionable statement in which he denied accusations that he had threatened women on CK’s behalf and claimed he wasn’t aware of the full extent of the accusations against CK. At the time, Becky was also the manager of Pamela Adlon, who worked with CK on Louie and co-created her FX series, Better Things, with him, but Deadline is now reporting that Adlon has fired Becky.
There’s no official word on why Adlon decided to cut ties with Becky, but the timing implies that it’s because of the CK scandal and possibly also Becky’s response to it. When the story on the allegations against CK came out, Adlon released a statement saying she and her family were “devastated and in shock” because of the “abhorrent behavior” of her friend, adding a note that she’s “processing and grieving.”
