Red Dead Redemption 2’s first trailer shows off a gorgeous Wild West world
As promised, Rockstar Games debuted the first trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 this morning, and while it might not be the grand reveal fans were expecting, it is, at least by definition, a trailer. While light on story and action, the teaser gives several gorgeous views of the pristine landscapes players will be painting with the blood of their enemies and innocent wildlife. We also see a bustling Wild West town, and, in typical Western fashion, a cowboy returning home only to find it burning to the ground. The clip closes on a shot of seven cowboys riding off into the wilderness, a visual that recalls the teaser images used to drum up hype for this 68-second clip. Rockstar has plenty of time to provide some more details—as in, any details at all—before the game’s release next fall for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
