Long before Robert Downey Jr. was a massive box office star and superhero, he was just as attractive and smug as he is now. True to form, Downey plays a bigwig lawyer—“The infamous Hank Palmer. The jaded lawyer with no respect for the law”— in The Judge, a movie he produced with his wife, Susan Downey.

Opening on October 10, the David Dobkin-directed movie also stars Robert Duvall, Vera Farmiga, Vincent D’Onofrio, Dax Shepard, Balthazar Getty, David Krumholtz, Leighton Meester, and Oscar winners Billy Bob Thornton and Melissa Leo.
