Sandler, Stiller, and Hoffman get dysfunctional in the new Meyerowitz Stories trailer
The first teaser for Netflix’s new Noah Baumbach film The Meyerowitz Stories (New And Selected) was all based around stars Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, Elizabeth Marvel, Emma Thompson, and Dustin Hoffman singing a fun family song together. This new trailer features a similar amount of family fun, but it also hints at some dysfunction bubbling just under the surface—or over the surface, in the case of some snotty comments and a goofy fight scene between Sandler and Stiller. The film was particularly well-received at Cannes, with The A.V. Club’s A.A. Dowd noting that it gave Sandler and Stiller “some of their best roles ever.”
The Meyerowitz Stories will premiere on Netflix (an in select theaters, suggesting that Netflix is clearing some space on its shelf for awards) on October 13.
