Sean "Diddy" Combs facing another sexual assault lawsuit
The disgraced rapper, producer, and mogul is being sued by a former swimsuit model who claims Combs sexually assaulted her in 2003
Sean “Diddy” Combs has been sued for sexual assault again. Per Rolling Stone, this latest allegation comes from former model Crystal McKinney, who claims Combs drugged and sexually assaulted her in 2003. This is the sixth sexual allegation publicly made against Combs in six months.
McKinney says she met Combs in 2003 at a dinner at New York City’s Cipriani Downtown restaurant during Men’s Fashion Week. McKinney, who was 22 at the time, said that an unidentified fashion designer invited her and reportedly outfitted McKinnsey in a manner that would attract Combs, ordering her to sit across from Combs at dinner.
During their dinner, the filing states Combs continuously made public displays of a “sexually suggestive manner” toward McKinney. Combs is described as “flirtatious, bordering on leering,” as he “plied Plaintiff with alcohol.” Later that night, the Plaintiff says she went to his Manhattan recording studio because she figured a professional setting would be safe. McKinney says Combs gave her a joint that she believes was laced with narcotics, claiming she felt like “she was floating.”
As the night continued, it began to sound like other allegations against Combs. The suit claims Combs “forced himself on plaintiff and began kissing her without consent.” He then “shoved her head to his crotch before commanding her to ‘suck it.’” When she refused, he allegedly “pushed her head down onto his phallus and forced her to perform oral sex on him.” McKinney said the assault made her “physically sick,” and she passed out shortly after.
This latest filing was made possible because of New York City’s Gender Motivated Violence Act, and the suit argues that sexual assault is a gender-motivated crime. The Gender Motivated Violence Act opened a two-year lookback window on old cases—hence making the 20-year-old incident viable for a suit. The window closes on February 28, 2025.
In the past six months, Combs has been sued six times for rape. The first and most publicized suit came from Combs’ former partner and protégé, the singer Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, who sued him in November for sex trafficking and assault. Over the weekend, video footage showed Combs attacking Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel in 2016. The video prompted an apology from Combs that Cassie did not accept.
“The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs,” Ventura’s lawyer told CNN. “Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”
