Sean Hannity assembles the pundit panel of the damned

We have to assume that Sean Hannity and his team put a fair amount of thought into who gets recruited every evening for Hannity, his daily Fox News exploration into the frontier of his own paranoid, right-wing mind. Too much crazy, and the whole thing might go skidding off the rails, descending into some mad vortex of evil pizza conspiracies and demands to see each other’s birth certificates; too little, and who’s going to bother watching?

Sometimes, though, you just want the vortex, as indicated when Hannity announced an incredible confluence of loud, unpleasant conservative voices for tonight’s episode of his show:

You know you have something special on your hands when Ted Cruz and Geraldo Rivera have been recruited as the voices of relative reason. Hannity’s personal pundit panel of the damned also counted among its members new hire Tomi Lahren and recently ousted White House adviser Seb Gorka, with Kellyanne Conway and torture-advocating Rep. Dana Rahrabacher to round out the mix. To celebrate this momentous event, we whipped up an artist’s rendering of the show’s green room tonight:

And just in case you want to know what it’s like to feel the top of your head screw off and fly away, here’s a video of Tomi Lahren, Sean Hannity, and Geraldo Rivera debating Hillary Clinton’s emails, 10 months after the 2016 election. (Fun fact: A quick check of our archives reveals this to be the worst sentence ever published here on www.avclub.com.)
