Sharknado 6 will have Nazis and Noah's Ark, which seems weirdly predictable
At the end of Sharknado 5: Global Swarming, Dolph Lundgren showed up as the time-traveling son of Ian Ziering’s character, and the two of them flew into the past as part of an extended homage to Back To The Future. Sharknado 6 is coming this summer—because this series is unstoppable—and now Bloody Disgusting has confirmed that the movie will make good on that time-hopping tease (even though ending like Back To The Future and then ignoring that twist in the sequel would be a perfectly Sharknado-y gag).
We don’t know if Dolph Lundgren will be returning, but we do know that Tara Reid and Cassie Scerbo will be coming back and that Ziering’s character will be using a Sharknado to travel back in time to try and save them. Along the way, he’ll ride on Noah’s Ark, face off against dinosaurs, and fight Nazis, all of which seem like things that were destined to happen in this series eventually. After this, the series will most likely have to consider going back to the first movie for a self-aware, gritty reboot.
Sharknado 6—which doesn’t have a punny subtitle yet, though The A.V. Club has pitched Shark Of The Covenant and Noah’s Shark—will premiere on Syfy on July 25.
