St. Vincent's popping "Pills" in new single from Masseduction

Just a few days out from the release of Masseduction, her fifth album under the moniker St. Vincent, Annie Clark has released a third single from the record, “Pills.” Combining the electronic thump of St. Vincent’s last single, “Los Ageless,” with Clark’s electrifying guitar work and poignant, pleading vocals, the song updates “Mother’s Little Helper” for the 21st century with the help of saxophonist Kamasi Washington, vocalist Jenny Lewis, and beat production from Sounwave.

Along with the new song, St. Vincent has also expanded her previously announced Fear The Future tour with new dates that will criss-cross the U.S. throughout January 2018. You can hear “Pills” and check out St. Vincent’s expanded tour dates below. Masseduction is out this Friday, October 13; we’ll have a review of the album here on The A.V. Club later this week.
