Stan Lee is out of the hospital after a “little check-up”

Stan Lee showed off some of his own healing power today, taking an interview with Los Angeles’ KABC not long after a brief hospital stay. The Marvel mastermind says he was there for “a little check-up,” which is good thinking given his age (95), but seeing his name in headlines with the word “hospitalized” in them was enough to raise concern. But leave it to Lee, who’s set to pop up in Black Panther in another one of his cameos, to find the upside: “And in fact it turned out to be pretty good, it got me a lot of publicity,” Lee says. “I’m feeling good now and I can’t wait to get in there and tangle with all the competition.”

Lee tells KABC he’s planning to get back out on the road—which presumably includes more red carpets for Black Panther premieres—very soon to meet with fans. “It’s nice to know that somewhere in the world there are still people who care about what I say or do,” Lee tells the outlet, which is an understatement, but we’ll let it slide.
