Steven comes back to Earth in an exclusive Steven Universe clip

If you caught fifth-season opener Steven Universe: Wanted, you know that the bright, optimistic show has gotten a twinge darker, forcing Steven through a harrowing ordeal in space on the Gem Home World and (briefly) killing one of his friends. Steven might be home safe, but in this exclusive clip from the upcoming episode “Dewey Wins,” which premiered at New York Comic-Con, it’s clear that everything hasn’t been resolved—the Gems, Greg, and Connie are still upset and worried, even if Steven is trying to put on a brave and heroic face.

New episodes of Steven Universe will debut on Cartoon Network this fall.
