An extended Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour will soon be available to watch at home

For any Swifties who haven’t been able to make it to a theater yet, or want to watch Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour again (and again and again) from the comfort of your own home, your wildest dreams are about to be answered. In a social media post this morning, Taylor announced that her record-breaking concert film will soon be available to stream—on December 13, naturally.

“Hi! Well, so, basically I have a birthday coming up and I was thinking a fun way to celebrate the year we’ve had together would be to make The Eras Tour Concert Film available for you to watch at home!” she wrote. (Side note for anyone new to Swift mania: her birthday is where her obsession with the number 13 comes from.)

Per Taylor’s announcement, the film will include previously cut songs “Wildest Dreams,” “The Archer,” and “Long Live.” No love for folklore, evermore, or Haim fans, unfortunately, as “Cardigan” and “No Body, No Crime” still seem to have been left on the cutting room floor.

The film will be available to rent in the United States and Canada on December 13, with additional countries to be announced soon.

While this will certainly come as welcome news to many Swifties, one group may be a little disappointed with this morning’s announcement: Reputation stans. In the days leading up to last night’s show in São Paulo, Brazil—Taylor’s last stop on the Eras Tour in 2023—many fans theorized that the singer would announce Reputation (Taylor’s Version) onstage. Supposed hints surrounding this announcement included the fact that Taylor had only one song from the album left to play as a surprise song, some classic Swiftian numerology, her publicist’s outfit, and the fact that official Empire State Building account teased it for… some reason. Still no date for that rerecord yet, but in the meantime fans can watch that portion of the show from home as many times and their hearts desire—or their wallets allow.
