The Counselor 

The teaser for The Counselor welcomed author Cormac McCarthy to his first original screenplay with a familiar milieu of people doing violent things in the desert and Javier Bardem having funny hair, but with a sexiness that a book simply can’t match—not even if you put it in a hot cheetah-print dress. Now the full trailer for the Ridley Scott-directed film is here to flesh out the plot behind all that movie-star flesh: Michael Fassbender stars as a lawyer who tries making a fast score in the drug biz, only to become corrupted by its absolute power and absolutely sexy parties. Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz, and Cameron Diaz also orbit the story whose tagline is “Have You Been Bad?”—because “Have You Seen Breaking Bad, And Wouldn’t It Be Better If Everyone On It Were Like 20 Times Hotter?” is a bit too tell-not-show for a master like Cormac McCarthy.
