The Incredible Burt Wonderstone

Old-fashioned stage magic is enjoying something of a cultural renaissance, according to someone, judging by the recently released trailer for Now You See Me and today, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. The comedy finds Steve Carell doing his own disappearing act behind layers of spray tan and veneers to play one half of a Siegfried & Roy-like team alongside Steve Buscemi—a past-their-prime duo whose popularity is threatened by more modern illusionists and endurance artists like Jim Carrey's Criss Angel/David Blaine hybrid. Former Carell and Buscemi associates Alan Arkin and James Gandolfini also turn up here alongside Olivia Wilde, and judging by this trailer, the wigs also deserve hefty supporting actor credits. Will Burt Wonderstone at last slake your unquenchable thirst for magician movies? Can anything?
