The Lifeguard

While the world waits for Kristen Bell to relive her high-school years in Veronica Mars, this August will see Bell regressing in a different way in The Lifeguard, and investigating the mystery of what to do with her future. Bell’s adrift almost-30-year-old quickly cracks that mystery, as so many have before her, by moving back in with her parents, then not really thinking about it that much. Instead she focuses on her easy lifeguarding job and all the free time it gives her to buy beer for, then sleep with, teenage boys—a plan that really only raises more questions than it answers, such as, “Is our current job market creating a generation of arrested adolescents?” and, “As a teenage boy, where is this city and can I move there?”
