The Pacific Rim: Uprising trailer is ready to rumble
The trailer for the Pacific Rim sequel we weren’t sure was ever going to happen premiered just a few minutes ago at New York Comic-Con, teasing the next chapter in the saga about giant monsters and the giant robots who punch them. John Boyega and his real-life British accent star as monster-puncher-in-chief Jake Pentecost, seen here giving a pep talk on the continued necessity of slicing up kaiju with giant robot sword arms after the squirrely interdimensional bastards failed to keep the peace reached at the end of the first film.
Pacific Rim: Uprising co-stars Scott Eastwood, Tian Jing, Charlie Day, Burn Gorman, Rinko Kinkuchi, and Adria Arjona. Daredevil and Spartacus producer Steven S. DeKnight directs. It’s currently set to stomp into theaters on March 23, 2018.
