The Spice Girls are planning a reunion tour, but without any new music

As a wise group of young women once said, “if you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends. Make it last forever, friendship never ends.” That last sentiment has never been more true, as the women who sang those lyrics—the Spice Girls—are now reportedly planning a reunion tour, indicating that their friendship will never end as long as they really, really, really wanna zig-a-zig-ah. This comes from TMZ, so it’s still just a rumor at this point, but the gossip site’s sources say that all of the original Spice Girls recently met with former manager Simon Fuller in order to work on “rough planning” for a world tour that would hopefully happen later this year.

TMZ’s sources say the tour will begin in the U.K. and eventually make its way to the U.S., but there are no plans to record any new music as part of this reunion. They are also developing new “merchandising opportunities,” which seems like an obvious thing to do for any tour like this, but TMZ holds it back like a big reveal so maybe this will be special merchandise in some way.

None of this has been confirmed, but TMZ confidently says that “everyone is fully committed and the tour is going to happen.”
