The teaser for CBS's Extant keeps you waiting for Halle Berry's alien baby

CBS is only giving us a mere 20 seconds that only vaguely allude to its upcoming Halle Berry drama, Extant. Nevertheless, there's some info that can be teased out here. The trailer's images of cell division as they develop into a fetus confirms what we already know about the premise, which is that Berry plays an astronaut who returns from a year in space, finds herself pregnant with an alien baby, then has to deal with an interstellar case of "Mom liked you best" when she raises the alien baby alongside her robot son. The show's tagline, "Life Always Finds A Way," also implies that Berry has a third child who's a cloned dinosaur, and that the first season will be an epic robot vs. alien vs. dinosaur battle over who gets the top bunk. We’ll probably have to wait for a longer trailer to know for sure.
