The Zero Theorem
It’s been four years since The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus, and—given the troubles Terry Gilliam has experienced making films—it’s always a welcome relief when he sees another project to completion. In this clip from The Zero Theorem, Christoph Waltz strolls through a futuristic city where graffiti and intrusive advertisements vie for every available square inch of space, and Gilliam-style absurdities like Occupy Mall Street and The Church of Batman the Redeemer abound. The clip gives no hint about the storyline, but we know from earlier reports that Waltz plays Qohen Leth, a scientist who waits for a mysterious phone call while working on an equation that explains nothing less than human existence. The film costars Matt Damon and Tilda Swinton.
