Tonight on The A.V. Club With John Teti: Teen Vogue’s Elaine Welteroth
It’s a total teen takeover tonight on The A.V. Club. Teen Vogue editor-in-chief Elaine Welteroth stops by the studio for an interview with our beloved host, John Teti. Elaine’s passion for this generation of young women gives us all hope for the future. She discusses the directional changes she’s made for the publication and how, by taking those steps forward, they’re helping teens find their self-expressive identities in the balance between fashion and politics. John is subjected to another side of the teen scene in a segment we affectionately call “Teens Tell Teti.” A group of young women from a local charter school sit down with John to tell him that his interests are dated, and that he can’t dance. Speaking of teens, Bonney Teti, the expert on John Teti’s teenage years, joins us on the magic screen to discuss Blade Runner for “Mom On Pop.” Our resident internet culture editor Clayton Purdom tells us what the worst movie-to-video game adaptations are. He also joins us on our rapid fire recommendations with staff writer Keerthi Harishankar for “Tell Me What To Like!” It’s an exciting episode, folks! Can these teens find common ground with John? Does Elaine Welteroth like John’s suit? Does John’s mom Bonney think Ryan Gosling is attractive? Find out all of that and more, tonight at 11 p.m. Eastern/10 p.m. Central, only on Fusion.
