According to People, Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth are planning to tap into their Beverly Hills, 90210 experiences for a new project “based loosely on the series.” The plan is for the two of them to play “exaggerated versions” of themselves, and while nothing is officially on the books yet, they reportedly “attended development meetings” about this project on Friday—which Spelling alluded to on Instagram with a photo from the CBS lot with various 90210 and Jennie Garth-related hashtags. The implication here is that this show would be more about Spelling and Garth’s friendship than something akin to a 90210 update.
That’s all we know at this point, so it still remains to be seen if this project will even reach the pilot stage. At this point, it mostly just exists on social media.
