Two men arrested after shooting on set of The Equalizer sequel
The Associated Press reports that two men have been charged in a shooting on the set of The Equalizer 2, which is currently filming in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood. Last Saturday, shots were fired on the set, but the cast—including Denzel Washington, Melissa Leo, and Pedro Pascal—were not on site at the time. But two security guards were injured during the incident, and now Massachusetts’ Suffolk County has charged two 18-year-old men with “assault with intent to murder and gun offenses.” Fortunately, the security guards were quickly treated at a hospital after sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.
Neither Columbia Pictures nor Sony Pictures, which are producing and distributing the film, respectively, have issued any kind of statement on the incident. But The Equalizer 2 is currently scheduled for release on August 3, 2018.
