We regret to inform you that the president of the United States of America is still a huge racist
Not that this will be news to the libtards who read The A.V. Club, but President Donald Trump says and does a lot of racist things. From his hiring of Jeff “lock up all the Black people” Sessions to his pardoning of Joe “hell yes I ran a concentration camp” Arpaio to his continued assertions that neo-Nazis aren’t so bad while Puerto Rican hurricane victims are just lazy whiners, Trump just can’t help but act like the son of a man who was sued for racial discrimination that he is. (Donald Trump was also named in that particular lawsuit.) Why, remember when he said Mexicans were rapists and thieves? And when he continued to insist that the co-called Central Park Five were guilty, even after they were exonerated by DNA evidence?
Well, buckle up, kids: Every time we think we’ve reached rock bottom, the floor drops out from under us once again. The Washington Post reports on a meeting Trump had with lawmakers to discuss protections for immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador, and several African countries:
“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump said, according to these people, referring to African countries and Haiti. He then suggested that the United States should instead bring more people from countries like Norway, whose prime minister he met yesterday.
We’re sure he was real pouty when he said it, too. The Post goes on to say that lawmakers were “taken aback” by Trump’s statement, proving that Congress really is out of touch.
