The White Lotus adds Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs and four more to season three cast
Natasha Rothwell is also returning to the White Lotus after her season one appearance
The White Lotus has confirmed at least a few of the guests who will be checking in for the HBO anthology series’ third season. Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, and Tayme Thapthimthong are all set to join the cast when the show begins production in Thailand next month, per Variety. The six join returning cast member Natasha Rothwell, who appeared in the show’s first season as Belinda, the spa manager who had her dreams dashed by Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya McQuoid.
Specific details about the plot and characters of this season are still being kept under wraps, but we’ve received a few clues. When season two ended, White opined that the main theme of season one was money, season two was sex, and thought season three should be death. Given that both of the preceding seasons have kicked off with a dead body, that seems like a natural fit. It was also previously reported in November that series creator Mike White was on the hunt for thirteen new cast members for the season; if that still holds true, we can expect at least seven more casting announcements in the coming weeks and months.
In somewhat of a bizarre twist, a tip that the anonymous Instagram account Deux Moi published yesterday actually seemed to be fairly accurate (something about a broken clock, maybe). The tip correctly identified Bibb, Isaacs, Monaghan, Posey, and Rothwell as part of the cast. Obviously, this could all be a coincidence, and we cannot independently confirm anything. But for those who care to play into the mostly baseless speculation game, names like Woody Harrelson, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Carrie Coon were also rumored to be involved. In any case, we likely won’t see any of these characters onscreen much before 2025.
