Woody Allen was supposed to play clarinet at ousted Amazon exec Roy Price's wedding
In a story that would be kind of wacky and fun if it didn’t concern two awful people, The Hollywood Reporter says that Woody Allen was supposed to play clarinet with his jazz band at the wedding of former Amazon Studios head Roy Price before the allegations about him being a harassing creep came out and his fiancée (TV writer and award-winning playwright Lila Feinberg) called off their wedding. Price appears to be a big Woody Allen fan, as he was reportedly instrumental in getting Allen’s Crisis In Six Scenes Amazon series made, and his wedding was even supposed to be held at New York’s Café Carlyle—which THR says is a “longtime Allen haunt.”
The wedding’s cancellation was apparently “a relief” to Allen, who “wanted to keep his distance from the situation.” Now there’s no need for anyone to associate Woody Allen with an alleged sexual harasser, which is probably good for him.
