Wu-Tang Clan announces new album and tour

We knew Wu-Tang Clan would hook up for Riot Fest this fall, but now we’re looking at a full-fledged return of the Iron Flag rappers. The group’s just announced a new song, album, and tour. The album and tour news comes hours after Wu-Tang shared “People Say,” a collaboration among Method Man, Raekwon, Inspektah Deck, Masta Killa, with Redman.

For its seventh studio album, Wu-Tang: The Saga Continues, the Clan’s reunited with DJ and producer Mathematics, whose also worked with some of the 10 members individually. The album is set to drop on October 13 with 10 tracks as well as skits and other vocal performances from the group; and while it won’t have anywhere near as limited a release as Once Upon A Time In Shaolin, at least pharma-bro-cum-prisoner Martin Shkreli won’t be able to snatch it up and keep it locked away with whatever decency he might have been born with.

The Saga Continues is executive produced by Entertainment One and RZA’s lifestyle company 36 Chambers ALC. Wu-Tang will also tour the U.S. ahead of the album’s release, in solo gigs (with Raekwon looking like he’s doing most of the heavy lifting) and group performances.
